MindMatch
Your next best friend is just a story away.
MindMatch is an institutional social network designed exclusively for students of Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Its purpose is to create authentic connections between students by leveraging the power of storytelling and shared interests. The app provides a safe and interactive platform for students to meet, engage, and form meaningful friendships within their university community.
Process
Weekly Storytelling Prompts:
- Each week, students respond to a new creative or humorous prompt. For example:
- “The worst disaster my pet caused was…”
- Users share stories, photos, or voice notes to give others a glimpse into their personality.
Discover and Match
- A "Discover" page showcases profiles of users who have shared responses, including photos and categories.
- Students can browse profiles, grouped by interests or activities (e.g., "Travelers," "Chef," or "Companion").
Interest-based Profiles:
- Profiles display personal interests, hobbies, and regular activities. Prompts allow users to highlight their unique personality.
Social Interaction and Engagement:
- Posts can be liked, saved, or interacted with using voice memos and comments, making it easy for others to engage authentically.
Random Match:
- A feature to discover new connections by randomly matching with others based on shared preferences or prompts.
Event Invitations:
- Students can propose meetups based on shared interests (e.g., “Coffee for reading?”).
- Invitations are tagged with the time, topic, and activity, encouraging in-person interactions like discussions on shared themes.
